A quiet waste

I regret the title of this post. Leaves me not much to say. But since you read on, i type on. This is a review of A Quiet Place 3 or A Quiet Place Day 1. Let me re-start.

It's quite a waste, of time and space. The last time a movie left me this distraught was the UDAY CHOPRA and TANISHTA C starring in a NEAL N NIKKI. The "and" between N &N was turned to N to appeal to the younger gen. They could have called it NEVER n NOT but I was the younger gen, back then. I got swooped up in the mob mentality of my first year engineering classmates that had a few weekends back made me sit and watch No Entry.

Post watching NAUSEA n NEUROSIS in '05 i think, I had to furiously scribble my feelings on a piece of paper like a bulemic shoves a digit down their esophagus having consumed something which on the surface looked perfectly benign, but now it starts to horrifyingly metamorphos-ize into nutrition.

Back to AQP3. A possibly terminal cancer patient with a cat wants a slice of pizza in NY. This Cat does everything but mew. Which would be rather inconvenient and turn AQP3 into a short film. This mute cat's nine lives arent of any use or detriment to a planet being attacked by aliens who hunt with sound.

Djimon Honsu, who you'd remember from Blood Diamond, gets to Shush! a grand total of 3 people and as a finale, pull out from the water, a man and THE cat.

Lupita as the cancer patient is apt, her face reflecting the clueless predicament of the writers and hence her character too.

There are plenty of alien attacks through out the film, which lost their novelty 6 years ago to the first film. If you would like to torture yourself further, be sure to watch the film in 4DX. You feel the full brunt of the alien attacks as the seat bucks and pitches, slip disc-ing you into submission, making you want to sacrifice yourself as Lupita does in the film's final act, ensuring neither of you are alive and well to gouge out your eyes to another sequel.

P.S : The barber fan and spray in these 4dx theatres feels great.
